I decided to do something that reflects me as a person for my senior AP art portfolio. I didn't want to do something I would quickly bore of and I also didn't want to despise art afterwards. So I did this: I used acrylics to paint different scenes based on the music I listen to. Music is a huge inspiration to me and I don't think I would have made it very far as an artist without it. I listen to music all the time, while I draw, clean, walk, and sleep. I also like to add meaning to whatever I draw. Storytelling is what makes art for me so I wanted to tell a story in my paintings that the audience could understand. These are some of the paintings that came out of my AP art portfolio. The songs represented were "Orange" by 7!!, "Cake" by Melanie Martinez, "Under Pressure" by Leslie Odom Jr, and "Falling" by Harry Styles.
